Emerging Talent: Blitz Kids
Buzznet‘s March Madness of Emerging Talent month is drawing to a close, but it’s not too late to share a final few artists. Blitz Kids may be one of the last, but they’re by no means the least.
The Nantwich quartet who formed in 2008, describe themselves as “a drift of swines from the Cheshire Peaks“. However, their tongue-in-cheek attitude is accompanied by serious musicianship.
Newly signed to Red Bull Records (Twin Atlantic, Innerpartysystem and AWOLnation), Blitz Kids look set to be the latest British rock band to rapidly climb the ranks of touring venues and sales charts.
Their UK fans can see them next month supporting Lower Than Atlantis. Their American admirers probably won’t have long to wait either. After their recent showcase at SXSW, it’s only a matter of time before their sound catches the ears of those on both sides of the Atlantic.
