No one can forget the hit 1960s movie Psycho, which was directed by the king of horror, Alfred Hitchcock. This thrilling 1960s horror movie left many scared to step foot in the shower and to stay in motels, of course. Now the thrilling storyline is back with A&E‘s new TV series Bates Motel.

This prequel shows the life of Norman Bates living in Bates Motel through his teenage years and shows just how dark his history really is. Throughout the prequel, viewers will see just how strong Norman and his mother Norma’s relationship is and how she contributed to the life of the most famous serial killer of them all. The talented cast includes Vera Farmiga (Norma Bates), Freddie Highmore (Norman Bates), Max Thieriot (Dyalan Massest), and Nicole Peltz (Bradley Martin). The series is set to premeire March 18th at 10/9 CT.

Being a huge fan of Alfred Hitchcock and especially Psycho, I am extremely excited to see what Norman Bates’ teenage years were like. I completely freaked out when I saw the trailer on TV.
