Justin Timberlake Brings SexyBack At His Post-Grammys Show!

Ever since Justin Timberlake put out that teaser video about his return to music, I was hooked! After all, for a loooooong time we’d been led to believe that the former *NSYNC hunk had given up on music completely to focus on his other ventures like acting (no JT, no) and reviving Myspace (…seriously?!). Thankfully he came to his senses, released a new single and even started performing again! Last night was his first major concert performance in years and I had the amazing opportunity to attend – and spill it all on Buzznet, of course! Even though I’d seen *NSYNC a whopping six times, I’ve never seen a solo JT live ever… and somewhere 13-year-old Patty was freaking out!

The night’s fun took place at the historic L.A. venue, the Hollywood Palladium. With doors opening at 9pm, my army of BFFs and I waited in a massive, snaking line at 7:30pm. Finally in the venue at close to 10, we nabbed an impressively close floor spot and waited for a solid hour and a half, bopping along to a very energetic DJ. At around 11:30, the man of the hour, donning a suit and an undone bowtie, finally took stage. With just a few chords of his 2002 debut single “Like I Love You” to open the show, the crowd went absolutely WILD! For nearly two hours, JT went through his Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds hits as well as a handful of new jams off of the forthcoming 20/20 Experience.

Check out the set list below:

From “Rock Your Body” and “SexyBack” to “Cry Me A River” (sans pre-song Britney Spears diss) and “What Goes Around Comes Around,” it was a non-stop dance party at the standing room only show from beginning to end! He sang some of his new songs in between all the old faves and the crowd seemed to welcome them with open arms.

It wasn’t a complete post-Grammy party without some very special guests! Performing his latest single, the grown and sexy “Suit and Tie,” JT brought out Jay-Z to slay his verse, causing all the HOVA fans in the house to go B-A-N-A-N-A-S! As if Jay-Z weren’t enough of a treat, producer Timbaland took to the stage for his “SexyBack” collabo during the finale. What a way to close out the show! Sexy is DEFINITELY back!

Fangirl aside, Justin went above and beyond my expectations for the night, proving to be a music chart staple. As much as we want *NSYNC to come back, JT has grown up and is successfully pioneering the music industry, with one of the most talked-about comebacks of the decade.

What’s your favorite Justin Timberlake song? Who haven’t you seen in concert that you wish you could right now?
