‘The Carrie Diaries’ Recap: Endgame

If you you thought that the past couple of Carrie Diaries episodes weren’t very exciting, the latest one entitled “Endgame” will definitely change that attitude! The Thanksgiving-themed ep delved deeper into Carrie’s (AnnaSophia Robb) background and uncovered her relationship with her fam. Also, Sex and the City purists know that Carrie Bradshaw does NOT cook… and in last night’s episode, we find out just why!

*Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not read further if you don’t want to know what happened in last night’s episode.

Nothing brings the family together better than the holidays, especially Thanksgiving! It’s the first big holiday since Carrie’s mom passed away and she’s determined to make this one perfect. After all, Carrie remembers it being her mom’s fave holiday. Can the gal who burned microwave nachos pull off cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner? Ha, of course not!

Carrie and her new beau George (Richard Kohlnik) have been getting closer by the day – and what better way to solidify their relaysh than meeting the family?! To her horror, Carrie’s dad invites George and his dad (Scott Cohen, aka Gilmore Girls‘ Max Medina!) over for a turkey dinner for the big holiday. No pressure Carrie!

As hard as her big sis tries to make the holiday the BEST EVER, Dorritt does everything to mess things up, like ruining recipes, hiding cookbooks from Carrie and even smokes pot in her room. Yikes! Naturally everything is a disaster: the turkey is burned and Carrie blows up at her dad. Oh, and the power goes out.

When it feels like everything has fallen apart at the seams, who shows up at Carrie’s door but Sebastian (Austin Butler) who also had a crummy solo holiday. His cure: to spend time with Carrie and her fam. Looks like things aren’t quite over between C and S!

The Carrie Diaries airs Mondays on The CW at 8PM.

Do you think Carrie will ditch George for Sebastian?
