Whose Music Will We Remember In The Next 30 Years?

Lately, I’ve been record shopping hoping to gain some inspiration for future blog post. I could spend hours just flipping through racks, looking at all the old classics. I stumbled across this one section that really had me thinking and asking a handful of questions. The section was labeled, The Ones You Shouldn’t Forget About.

In it, was filled with classic music deliciousness. The Rolling Stones, Donna Summers, Stevie Wonder, Carly Simon and much more. I pulled out each one asking myself the following questions, “What made them long lasting” ” How did they change the music industry” “What was there spark”?

I was in a trans just trying to remember there journey. I mean, it’s magical that we’re still talking about them today. Just look at Carly Simon, the world is still trying to figure out who, ‘You’re So Vain’ is about. The Rolling Stones still have it after all these years.

I then started typing names of todays biggest acts in my phone.

Kayne West, Katy Perry, Radiohead, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Green Day, ColdPlay, Beyonce, Jay-Z, U2, Muse, B-spears, Christina Aguilera, Emninem.

In the next 30 years, will these people still be relevant? Who are we going to be talking about in the future, saying “Wow, they were a game changer in the music industry.”

Just A Little Food For Thought. Feel Free To Comment Below With Your Thoughts 🙂
