This time, the twins Bill and Tom kaulitz are besides Mateo of Culcha Candela and Dieter Bohlen a part of the DSDS judges. In the interview, the two reveal why they have decided to part of the judges of “Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar” 2013, and provide valuable advice to candidates.

What motivated you to accept the job as a judge on DSDS?

Bill: we have tried in past years to pull us out completely from the public to go to the studio and especially to take a break. this year, the request of dsds just fit, and we can realize well, next to the current and ongoing work in the studio.

Tom: so far we have canceled all such offers.

Bill: we have also always said that if we are judges somewhere, then in the original and the biggest show.

tom: the very last kick has given us then steven tyler, he was last year a judge in the american version of DSDS (american idol).

Why do you think dsds is so successful?

Bill: i think it’s the show with the highest quality production and gives the winner is the biggest platform for commercial success.

Tom: DSDS has almost something traditional. it is the classic casting format and therefore likely to prevail.

DSDS judge Bill Kaulitz: “I will recognize him immediately if he or she stands in front of me”

Which skills/talent the new superstar should have?

Bill: if it fits, it fits! I will recognize him immediately if he or she stands in front of me. Basically I want however strong characters, individuality and recognition!

Tom: In addition, we would be happy to female applicants with genuine talent. in germany there are not enough good female artists!

What advice do you give to candidates?

Tom: To all the girls iIcan tell you; put on something short! Then you’ve already managed it half! This is a man’s jury. All guys: stay at home if you can not sing!

Bill: Prepare yourself well, I have no desire to hear lyrics fails or to guess melodies. Pick out the song that you can sing best and not the hardest.

You’ll be strict judges?

Tom: yes!

Bill: at least i‘ll try to be honest.

Are you looking forward to your fellow judges?

Tom: of course! That will be quite funny. dieter bohlen stands for DSDS. Mateo we do not know, but we’re curious and look forward. We weren’t in germany for a long time and give us now with DSDS again fully charged before we’re again with the band who knows where the road.

Bill: we are looking forward to be a part of the tenth season of dsds along with dieter bohlen.

On BUNTE.de a German weekly magazine they talk about stalker (report of December 18) and this scan is about today, December 19 [shooting of October 2012 in Bad Driburg, Germany]

I really hope to find it because this shooting is fucking cool!

The Comeback of the Year

Tokio Hotel is one of the most popular german popbands. From January on, Bill and Tom Kaulitz will be sitting in the Jury of DSDS next to Dieter Bohlen. The brothers told BUNTE, why they took two years off.

Only a few minutes seperate them: Tom Kaulitz was born in 1989 at 6.20 a.m., his twin brother Bill ten minutes later. Dieter Bohlen, 58, calls the younger one “gift of god”. Not from this world. And indeed, Bill Kaulitz looks like a being of another planet with his feminine facial features and fancy clotheses. Tom however looks boisterous, like a womanizer. The 23-year-old brothers do everything together. From January 5th on they will make up one half of the Jury at “DSDS”. A small sensation, because despite the success with their band Tokio Hotel (more than 8 million sold records) the two of them went into hiding for the past two years.

In 2010 you moved to Los Angeles to take some time off. Why did you leave Germany?Bill: We were longing for a home and a private life, which just wasn’t possible in Germany anymore.

Why?Tom: We couldn’t step out of the house without being photographed or getting mobbed by crazies. It was horrible.Bill: We had security around us 24/7 and lived like in jail with a 2 meter high opaque fence around our property.

Tom, in an interview you said that “it’s crass what sick and dangerous people are out there”.Tom: There are people who gave up their whole life for Tokio Hotel. It’s a kind of hate-love. For them it’s about controlling our whole life. All of our employees who stepped into our house were tracked by them – it didn’t matter if it was the cleaning lady or the craftsman.Bill: A 24-hour psycho-terror!Tom: It felt like there was a spy watching your every move. They were organized in an unbelievably good way. We only thought: How do they always know where we are? And this despite the fact that we were working together with the police.

Can you understand/comprehend their obsession with you?Tom: They’re that dangerous because they don’t have anything to lose. They project all their problems on us.

How far did those stalkers go?Bill: They didn’t have any boundaries. They tried any and everything just to get a reaction out of us.

No human being can take that. When did you reach the point where you had enough?Tom: When they forced our car off the road.

What?Bill: Some family members were sitting with us in the car. We are protective towards our family and friends, just like anyone else is. When those people come near your family you instinctively take action.

You compared your life with that of Britney Spears. Were you able to sympathize with her when she shaved her hair off?Bill: I can understand the situation she was in 100%. A certain kind of want for freedom lies behind that. You don’t want other people to tell you what to do your whole life. And if you feel like shaving your hair off, then you just do it.

How much of your youth was lost because of Tokio Hotel?Tom: We, of course, had a good time that we wouldn’t have wanted to miss. What was taken from us early on was the ease.

What do you mean by that?Bill: We were the leaders of a company at the age of 15 with Lawyers, Tax Advisers and Managers around us, all on our payroll. A huge chunk of responsibility rested on our shoulders, which at the same time was a good thing since we hate superiors.

Bill, you haven’t been able to fall in love with someone since you turned 14 – also because you have a problem with trusting people. How much do you miss this form of love?Bill: In this “fast life” that I’m living, I miss the reliability. I always longed to have someone who would just be there for me. Of course I have Tom. I’m extremely happy that we’re brothers. I wouldn’t be able to work as a solo artist.

Why did you choose to move to Los Angeles, why not any other city?Tom: We didn’t move there to lead a glamour life. We have some recording studios we work in there and we were able to take some time off.Bill: We are definitely more free! We especially enjoy working on our new Album every day.

How long are you planning to stay in the US for?Tom: We get bored pretty fast. It’s possible that we’ll come back to Germany soon.

Bill & Tom Kaulitz: “Stalkers forced us off the road!”

How dramatically the lives of Bill and Tom Kaulitz in Los Angeles is, the two brothers from “Tokio Hotel” revealed in an interview with BUNTE.

Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz can understand why Britney Spears in 2007, after years in the spotlight shaved bald. “Behind this lies a desire for freedom, they do not want their lives be determined by other people,” the 23-year-old said in an interview with BUNTE. “And if you want to be bald from one day to another you just do it.”

Instead according to klatsch-tratsch.de Kaulitz twins want to move in India…

Goodbye Los angeles, Hello Bollywood? Quite possible that Bill and Tom from Tokio Hotel move to india soon – at least for a while. This secret revealed Bill and Tom with the tv program guide ‘Digital TV’ in the interview.

“This is a big wish of mine, because it is a country in which we were not on the road,” said Tom. “Our desire to india was actually aroused by the fact that we have heard so many positive things about it. I will definitely make soon a motorcycle tour through India.”

Thanks to Tokio Hotel is “Deutschland Sucht Sen Superstar” (airs on january 5th at 20.15 clock on rtl) in the 10th season again on top form, as the twins Bill and Tom complement the judges around Dieter Bohlen. “With him, the cooperation is working very well,” said Bill. ‘DSDS’ is the most successful German talent show and provides the most realistic start into the music business.”

Contrary to the general trend of sinking ratings at castingshows can see the two an upswing: “More and more artists currently decide to be a part of the judges of a talent show, for example Britney Spears, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and Mariah Carey,” reports Bill. “The condemned live longer. I am also convinced that talent shows currently invent new. Where else you can guaranteed a number-one hit and sometimes global popularity? The americans know that long ago” adds Tom.

Although the twins have no favorite song by modern talking (”that was not really our time”), but they are based more on Aerosmith: “This is a band started incredibly early and still stands on the stage – a legend has shaped the generations and their own sound,” says Bill.

In addition, there is one other person, as their big fan outs himself heartthrob Bill: german chancellor Angela Merkel. “The policy of the chancellor is understandable and comprehensible. For me, Merkel is a popular figure. It gives the ‘mama’ syndrome. With her I have the feeling to be in good hands.”

About the new album from Tokio Hotel fans have to wait a little longer: “There is no exact date for release,” said Bill. “We will release it when our feeling tells us that everything is perfect. Currently, we still write and produce.“

The fame made him lonely: Bill kaulitz was missing during the “Tokio Hotel” success years a caregiver

From 5th january, the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz (23, Tokio Hotel) sit next to Dieter Bohlen (58) in the DSDS jury. before they stir vigorously the drum to speak in several interviews about their new job, their life and love. Here Bill also stated that he wasn’t in love since he was 14 years old.

”I lack, in this fast life, the constancy. I’ve always longed to have someone who’s just there,” said Bill in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”.

”Of course I have Tom. I’m incredibly glad that we are brothers. As a solo artist, I could not work.”

Two years ago, the boys ducked under, moved to los angeles, there tried to find a new home – with a private life. Far away from stalkers and “a life like in prison.”

Is a return to germany not an option?

“We get bored quickly. It may be that in a few months we come back to germany,” said Tom Kaulitz to “Bunte”.

His brother Bill has already outed himself as a supporter of german chancellor Angela Merkel. “The policy of the chancellor is understandable and comprehensible. For me, Merkel is a popular figure,” said Bill kaulitz of the magazine “Digital TV”. Merkel mediates the “mom” syndrome. “With her I have the feeling to be in good hands,” added the singer.

A new Tokio Hotel album is also in the works. Which gets realeased only “when our feeling tells us that everything is perfect.”
