Buzznet Exclusive: Front Row at the Ivana Helsinki Fashion Show!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicked off last Thursday with Fashion’s Night Out, an evening of shopping deals and late store closings across the globe. Celebrations in NYC were super lively as nighttime shoppers scored deals and partied the night away. Finnish designer Ivana Helsinki chose FNO to present her Spring 2013 collection in Chelsea. Hundreds of admirers and fashion-hungry attendees waited anxiously for the show, especially after being given 3-D glasses to wear! Prior to the runway show a short 3-D film was played setting the tone for the collection. Ivana Helsinki’s line is inspired by an old motel in the midsummer and the various wallpapers & patterns an old motel might have. The colors were bright, echoing the 70s, with blousy fabrics and interesting sihoulettes. The playful patterns and neon tights paired with a pair of black, rock n’ roll platform wedges by Seychelles made an for excellent combination.
