Rate or Hate: X Factor’s Amelia Lily – ‘You Bring Me Joy’
Many X Factor (UK) winners have faded into oblivion (Leon Jackson, who?) but several runner-ups have been the show’s most successful exports (One Direction, anyone?). The latest ‘loser’ trying to get her voice heard is 2011’s third placed Amelia Lily.
The Kelly Rowland-mentored 17 year old has already signed a three-album deal with Xenomania and is set to release her debut single, ‘You Bring Me Joy‘, on September 2nd. The aforementioned song has already won over critics such as The Guardian who described the track as a “sophisticated banger” – but what do you think?
