Question of the Day: Days or Nights?

When I was a younger lad, I thought there was something wrong with me. It happened around grade 11/12. Probably during that summer. I became a teenage night owl. It became ever more difficult for my body to wake during whatever awful hour I was to rise to prepare for the day ahead. The 45 minute walk to school was never the eye opener it was intended to be.

I soon found that my body was starting to have this “second wind” of sorts later in the eve. That meant that while everyone in my house was asleep, I was on the internet or playing video games into the wee hours of the morning. I was functioning on little to no sleep most of my senior year.

Nights – APackard

All of my jobs up until recent years have all fostered my nocturnalness. Whether the work was stacking boxes in warehouse, unloading boxes on conveyor belts, or patroling abandoned missile silos in the middle of the desert, my person seemed to function best during these nocturnal missions.

I have since changed. I am usually up by six in the morning and in bed by like 11 at night. If I go out, I can’t be out too late because I will be cranky pants in the a.m. I don’t know what happened. I guess I grew up a tad.

Now, I am not sure what I would say. Both times of the day have their merits and certainly their cons. The day is really bright and usually hot and everything is bathed in the rays of gross. The night is really pretty and all the lighting is very moody and what have you. I still prefer the evenings. There are less people out and it’s time for layered clothing. IDK. I’m tired.

Anyway, which time of the day do you prefer? Are you a night crawler or a lazy sun bather? What do you like about your favorite time of day? What’s your favorite thing to do during that time. Annnnnd GO!
