Nicki Minaj Gets A New Job At ‘American Idol’!
Just when you thought Mariah Carey joining the judges table post-Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez leaving American Idol was a big shocker, wait until you hear this: rapper Nicki Minaj is the newest Idol judge! Us Weekly reports that two sources have confirmed the “Starships” singer’s new role on the long-time singing competition show.
“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it,” one source reveals. “A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening.”
A second source reports Minaj is “100% confirmed to judge American Idol.“
With Mariah and Nicki filling the empty chairs that Steven and Jennifer left behind, there also may be one more spot left: according to a source, Randy Jackson will be moving into a “mentoring role.” Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are being considered to fill the extra judge’s spot.
