LISTEN: Owl City And Anberlin Stream New Songs

Thank New Music It’s Friday! The weekend is here and so are two new earworms to blast through your speakers and your mind, thanks to Owl City and Anberlin. Could there be a better way to celebrate the end of the working week? If there is, send your answers on a postcard please.

The latest Owl City song to be lifted from his new album ‘The Midsummer Station’ (due out August 21st) is ‘Embers‘, exclusively premiered on Absolute Punk earlier today. No Carly Rae Jepsen here – or screamo vocals either. Take a listen below.

Speaking to Billboard.com, Anberlin discussed their change of direction for their upcoming sixth album ‘Vital’. The first track to be unleashed is ‘Self-Starter’ – initially held back from recording because drummer Nathan Young feared it was “too different“. He’s right – it is different but this progression should be embraced, not dismissed.
