Karen O Pens Song For Disney. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Really.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ front woman Karen O has unveiled her new solo song ‘Strange Love’. Disney have also premiered a new track from upcoming Tim Burton film ‘Frankenweenie‘. Somewhat surprisingly, both songs are the same – Karen O’s latest release will be featuring on the stop-motion animation‘s soundtrack.

The song is taken from ‘Frankenweenie: Unleashed‘ (out September 25th) which also features music from the likes of Neon Trees, Kerli and Passion Pit.If you’re surprised that the indie rock singer has taken to writing songs for spooky children’s films, this isn’t Karen O’s first foray into soundtracks. As well as lending vocals to ‘grown up’ movies such as ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo‘ and the ‘Jackass‘ film franchise, she also composed the music to the 2009 adaptation of ‘Where The Wild Things Are‘.
