BUZZNET Exclusive: John O’Callaghan On The Maine’s Perseverance & New Song

Today The Maine posted a new track today called, “You’ll Never Know”. The song is part of the Pioneer and The Good Love release that will be out in the UK/Europe on September 11th. The track will be available for the rest of the world as part of Good Love (The Pioneer B-Sides) EP also out September 11th.

In a message on the band’s website they described the process of creating Pioneer and the passion that came behind it. I reached out to get an exclusive comment from John O’Callaghan about the post and how their drive to follow their gut instincts have influence the album — as well as what the response has been like from fans.

Check out what he told me.

There is a lot to be said about your hands, heart, and head. These are some of the most powerful tools we possess as humans. Surprisingly enough, if you apply a little synergy and refuse to succumb to exterior motives you can accomplish things you want to accomplish.

And about all you lovely fans…

The response we’ve received has been incredibly humbling, and at the same time extremely empowering. The support we’ve been shown has lit a fire inside and makes me especially excited for the future and what’s to come for The Maine.

I love that The Maine are making the music they want and are allowing themselves to experiment with their sound as they grow up. It has been such a pleasure watching them develop as a band over the past few years. #musicrules.
