5 Quick Fixes For A Bad Day

Visit Your Local Bookstore or Barnes and Noble. It might sound crazy but just walking around and looking at some of the business books and best sellars inspires me and reminds me of all of things I still need to learn about in the world.

Green Tea – or any tea. Since I’m traditionally a “coffee” girl – I switch to tea when I’m feeling reflective. There is currently a splenda commercial on television with a girl sitting on her couch, drinking tea, and listening to the rain. I pretend that I’m that girl and get all reflective 🙂

Change Your Environment. It’s crazy what a quick walk outside or around the block can do. It can calm nerves, ease your brain, and just sort of remind you that there is more to life than just your bubble.

Get “ready”. Not feeling your best? Go into the restroom (at work or at home) and put on your make-up, make your hair look amazing, and take a deep breathe. When we look our best we tend to perform our best.

Make Plans For That Night. It’s hard not to get caught up in the daily routine of work, gym, and home, a friend of mine calls this the “Triangle Affect”. Make out-of-the-ordinary plans for tonight, grab dinner or a drink with friends, walk around your local “main street” area, anything to switch it up.
