Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Split!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce!! Yes, you heard right! After five years of marriage, they are calling it quits.

The choice was made by Katie Holmes a few days ago. It is being reported that “Scientology” was one of the major factors of her decision. Tom Cruise was definitely blindsided and did not see it coming.

They were holding hands in Icelands just 2 weeks ago, and seemed to be happy. This was definitely a shocker for many.

Tom and Katie married back in November 2006 in a beautiful ceremony held at a castle in Italy. They were happily in love and known as one of the most well-known couples of the century.

They have one child together, daughter Suri, who is just 6 years old. When Katie filed the divorce papers, she declared she wants sole legal custody and “primary residential custody” of her daughter. Uh-oh Tom.

Katie’s attorney said, “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.“

I have a feeling this is going to be one nasty custody battle.

This isn’t Tom’s first divorce, he was previously married to Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers. Looks like Tom isn’t doing something right here, or maybe he just hasn’t found the right woman.

Honestly, although I can’t say I saw this coming, I’m not completely surprised. I just hope their daughter Suri will be alright and this divorce goes smoothly. RIP TomKat. 🙁
