Mike Bruno’s Summer Of Love Tour Diary: First Day Jitters (Blog 2)
Show #1 Los Angeles, CA:
There’s nothing quite like playing the show we’ve spent weeks rehearsing and fine-tuning for an audience for the first time. Any butterflies of the tour are definitely gonna happen the first night. They quickly flew away as we launched into the first song of the set, one of our old faithfuls “HERE COMES TROUBLE” from our 2009 debut album “Fashionable Late”. With Los Angeles being our second home its always a special show. The crowd was amazing. This show also marked the first time we played our brand new songs “Obsession” and “Serendipity”, it felt amazing to finally play them live!
Show #2 San Francisco, CA:
With the first show jitters gone we got to play a city we hadn’t been to in a whiiiile, San Francisco! We saw so many familiar faces it was awesome. A highlight before the show even started was all four of us rolling Jason’s piano up the streets of San Fran form our trailer to the club, people yelling for us to play something and pretending to play on it as we walked by was hysterical. These are the kinds of memories of tour that last a lifetime.
Show #3 Sacramento, CA:
Last summer we started our tour in Sacramento, so it was great to be back! It was an intimate show and it really made for an off-the-cuff vibe on stage. I love these kind of shows. Not to mention the fans were amazing, felt like we took a hundred pictures after the show. Sacramento we WILL be back!
That’s the first three and its just getting started! PAUSE. I almost forgot!! We’re extremely proud of our new merchandise ..y’all gotta check it out! (see pic, taken by me, because I’m like really good at photography, kiddingnotkidding, maybe).
