Breaking: Steven Tyler Quits ‘American Idol’!
After two seasons as a judge on the hit FOX show American Idol, Steven Tyler has decided to have a rock ‘n roll breakup and quit the popular singing competition show. The Aerosmith frontman announced Thursday, July 12th that he is not returning for next season of Idol and explained just why he decided to quit.
“After some long……hard……thoughts…I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,” Steven explained in a press release issued Thursday.
Why the departure?
“I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I’m back–but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. ‘Idol’ was over the top fun, and I loved every minute of it…Now it’s time to bring Rock Back. ERMAHGERD.”
