Warped Tour 2012 Ventura: One For The Kids

Warped Tour went to the beach Sunday in sunny Ventura, California! Got to spend lot of time with Breesays and just checking out bands and hanging with friends. First I went to see Kristopher Roe (The Ataris) play an acoustic set in the Acoustic Basement tent. I recommend taking some time out of your day to stop by the tent; some amazing acts will be playing sets.

I also made a stop at The Wishbone Foundation and purchased two adorable bracelets. The non-profit is in its infancy but will be on the entire tour. The Wishbone Foundation is set up to provide homes with art supplies for kids. It’s a great cause and the organization’s founder Kat LaFata makes and designs all the merch herself. Love the bracelets and organizations that supports the arts for kids.

After that I went over to the Tilly’s stage to meet up with Bree and to catch We Are The In Crowd, Man Overboard and (my favorite of the day) I Am The Avalanche. Steve Klein and Ian Grushka of New Found Glory were watching Man Overboard’s set from backstage, nice to see the headliners supporting the younger bands.

Next it was time for The Used, Yellowcard, Every Time I Die, All Time Low, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Breathe Carolina and New Found Glory all in a row! The best part was Yellowcard’s set; it was my first time seeing them live and I joined in my first circle pit! And of course I took a video — check it out.

After the music stopped I headed to the BBQ with some pals and played corn hole with some of the members of Tonight Alive. They are a fun group, love those Aussies! Also, Bayside had a free bar set up, there was lots of food and a projection screen playing the new Warped Tour documentary No Room For Rock Stars. Killer party, great weekend. #musicrules.
