Three For Free : All We Are, Stars and Kate Nash Give Away Their Music

Another week goes by and another row emerges over the effects of free downloading on the music industry. However, now is not a time for politics (it’s the weekend) so just sit back and enjoy these three, guilt-free (and cost free) 100% legal downloads.

All We Are

What do you get when a Brazilian-Irish-Norwegian alternative folk pop band write songs in a forest cabin and an abandoned school house before they record them in an ancient church? According to Stereogum, the end result is an “alluring EP” with a “catchy and glorious” lead track. You can see if you agree by downloading ‘Cardhouse’ – the first single to be lifted from All We Are‘s ‘The Hunt’.

Kate Nash

In case you haven’t heard Kate Nash is back with a whole new sound. Long gone are the accent-driven gimmicky days of singing about whimsical things such as using mouthwash and sometimes flossing etc. Now, Nash sounds more like Riot Grrrl than Lily Allen. You must listen to this – even if you only listen once. If you do like what you hear, Kate Nash wants to hear YOUR music.
