Suffer For Fashion: Corset Training!

You think girls these days have it bad with body image issues? Think again. On the 19th century, 18 inches was the desired waist measurement and women spent nights sleeping in tightly laced corsets, almost never taking it off to achieve their beauty ideal.

Although it’s not a popular thing to do anymore, there are still people who are fascinated with corset training, the most famous ones being Dita Von Teese and Ether Granger – the iconic woman with a 13-inch waist that just didn’t get her very own cover of Vogue Italia but is also owns record in the Guinness Book of World Records of having the tiniest waist in the world.

Check out the creepy/cool gallery and sound off in the comments – is a waist this teeny worth suffering for or are these women out of their minds?
