Isle Of Wight Festival – Wish You Were There Instead Of Warped Tour?

There’s a reason why the London date of Vans Warped Tour is being held indoors. Well there’s two reasons. One is that the event is in Winter but the other is that British festivals have got a reputation for mud, mud and a little more mud. The Isle Of Wight festival, which is often seen as the start of the UK’s outdoor music season, kicked off with weather chaos and extreme traffic delays. Now that the 90,000 revelers have arrived on site and the first full day of music well underway, things don’t look set to get any sunnier with more rain forecast. Uh oh.

So if you, like some of BUZZNET, are enjoying the sunshine at Pomona’s date of Vans Warped Tour, spare a moment for the music lovers at IOW by watching these videos below. Although be careful not to laugh too hard because festival karma may get revenge (especially if you’re heading to BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend as the weather doesn’t look like it’ll be on your side either).

It’s not all bad though as the Isle Of Wight festival’s line-up boasts Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band alongside Noah & The Whale, Biffy Clyro, Jessie J, Lana Del Rey, Christina Perri, Enter Shikari and many more. Maybe it is worth the mud after all.

Or maybe not……

Are you glad you’re not there or are you still jealous?
