Bow Down To The Royalty
I guess you could say I discovered The Royalty by accident…or was it really? 😉 I was actually here on Buzznet and saw an ad for their new album, Lovers, on the side of the page and decided to check them out. I’m really glad I did! They’re different and that’s exactly what I look for when I check out new bands. Plus, I have a soft spot for their song “Alexander.“
The Royalty has been described as “dreamy 60’s soundscapes with doo-wop harmonies” by MTV and they couldn’t of described them any better. I kind of hear a bit of an influence of Emily Haines of Metric from lead singer Nicole Boudreau.
