Tyra Banks Fires Nigel Barker, J. Alexander And Jay Manuel From America’s Next Top Model!
Tyra Banks, host and producer of America’s Next Top Model has fired her panel of experts: Nigel Barker, J. Alexander AND Jay Manuel! What a shock! Looks like their pictures were not the ones Tyra had in her hand.
If you have been a fan of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) like me then you know that these three men have been on the show since it first began. After so many years, she has let go of all them at once.
They were reportedly informed Thursday morning that their contracts will not be renewed for Cycle 19.
Banks confirmed that Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander will be leaving ANTM on her official Facebook and Twitter page.
She says, “To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model. Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us.”
Executive producers Bank and Ken Mok told Us Weekly: “Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”
Nigel Barker also took to his blog to write about all this stating, “It has been an exciting chapter in my life and I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to do the international version of Top Model for Canada, New Zealand, Finland, England, Mexico and even Russia. What a ride it has been!”
He went on to say “I will miss the cast, the crew and ANTM will always have a special place in my heart, having made life-long friendships with countless fond memories.”
This is all so sad, especially that all three of them were fired. As a person who watches America’s Next Top Model, it will definitely be weird not seeing them on the show! But I am excited to see who they will replace them with.
