The Rules Of Text Etiquette For Our Cyber Generation

A very long time ago I can remember living in a world where as a teenager my Dad stocked my pockets full of quarters for emergency phone calls. Those phone calls were made on pay phones. Remember those?

Now it seems that we barely talk, but we spend huge amounts of time tweeting, facebooking, instagraming and sharing our worlds with the world.

One of my goals for 2012 was to pick up the phone more to make calls, and pick up the phone less when I was enjoying a concert, dinner or time with Swoon.

I have to be honest. I have failed miserably. BUT, I am learning the rules of texting and trying to be a better person when it comes to only wanting to speak to people via text. There is actually a word for what I have “telephobia.” Fear of making phone calls. Bizarre.

Anyways, i put together this little rule book for our generation on how and when to text, and WHEN TO PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN. I hope it works.

If not….text me.

xx!
