Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame Refuse Axl Rose’s Refusal.
Yesterday Axl Rose made the controversial decision to decline his induction to the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses. The singer wrote a lengthy blog explaining his reasons for the snub. However, he may have wasted his time after the Hall of Fame have decided to ignore his announcement.
The 27th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which takes place tomorrow (14th April) in Cleveland, will still acknowledge Guns N’ Roses as an inductee – including Axl Rose as a member.
Despite Axl Rose clearly stating that “I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no one is authorized nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me”, the Hall of Fame’s spokeswoman Lauren Bishop’s only response was “We are sorry Axl will not be able to accept his induction in person”.
So who’s in the wrong – Axl Rose for refusing the induction or the Hall of Fame for refusing his refusal?
