Question of the Day: What Things Did Your Parents Make You Do?

There are times in life when you have to do things that you don’t want. It happens all the time. It also usually never stops. It happens less and less as you age like a mighty oak. Well, I don’t really know. I am not so mighty yet. I have to do things like follow the law and pay my taxes and participate in the economy. Go figure.

When you are young, you have to listen to your parents. If you don’t, things happen. If you do, things happen.

O NOES!

Even if you are older, which some of us are, there are things our parents used to make us do that we didn’t want to. Let’s talk about those things today. Time for sharing.

When I was small, I pretty much knew how to do everything around the house by the time I was 8. My parents used to make us do EVERYTHING. I could wash dishes, do laundry, cook, clean everything, and even fix basic plumbing because my hands were small and nimble. I was the only one that had to do yard work because I was the boy. I had to fit all of this around my penchant for arts and crafts and video games. I was a busy child.
