Behind The Scenes Of Nick Waterhouse’s New Music Video
Nick Waterhouse is kind of the coolest. Why, you may ask? Let me list some reasons: he is obsessed with R&B (mostly the good vintage kind but I’m willing to bet he has some Keith Sweat on his iPod), he has a killer cardigan collection, and he makes the kind of pure, awesome rock and roll that makes you want to grab your honey and dance your cares away. With his boyish good looks and clean-cut style (pretttty sure the dude irons his jeans), the 25-year old Southern California native is a breath of fresh air in a mosh pit filled with dirty-haired band dudes you would never take home to your mother (incidentally, my mother loves Waterhouse’s music, but that is neither here nor there).
We got the chance to hang out on the set of his newest music video for “Some Place” (the limited-edition 45″ of the single sold out in like 5 minutes and was selling on eBay for over $300 NO BIG DEAL) and it was pretty much the best time ever. The video comes out on May 1st (the same day as Waterhouse’s debut album Time’s All Gone is released on Innovative Leisure Records) and will premiere on UrbanOutfitters.com.
We asked the video’s director Phil Pinto (who most recently directed the videos for Bruno Mars‘ “It Will Rain” and Black Lips’ “Raw Meat”) to chat with Waterhouse about the concept of the video.
