Nicki Minaj Gets Blue Skin For ‘Vogue’

Before she got famous, Nicki Minaj was just an average looking girl in the music industry. Now her songs are being covered, and her eccentric fashion style guarantees her front row seats at high-end runway shows.

It has always been a dream for the 29-year-old rapper to land on the cover of Vogue, and although she just didn’t quite make it to the front of the March issue, she at least got dolled up for a spread in the magazine. We mean dolled-up as in looking exactly like a Smurfette, but with pink short curls and yes, blue painted-on skin.

Nicki got painted blue by photographer Steven Klein for her Marilyn Monroe inspired shoot, featuring bombshell looks in bright colors. In the accompanying interview the “Super Bass” rapper reveals that she hopes to inspire young girls, isn’t materialistic, and once had childhood dreams of being a lawyer.

Looks like Nicki Minaj is more than a pretty (blue) face!

What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s ‘blue’ look for Vogue? Fab or drab?
