In a move that seems straight out of a high school drama movie, Lady Gaga fans have started a new campaign to bring Madonna down. January 23rd was the start of what they call International Monsters Against Madonna Week. Fans are being offered money, five to ten cents, to trash Madonna on major news sites and are also being encouraged on what to post:
“Your comments must be at least five sentences long and cover one of the following topics:
1. Madonna’s new single is flopping. It’s getting bad reviews.2. Madonna is a has-been. Lady Gaga is more current.3. “WE” is getting really bad reviews.4. Madonna is a copycat, not Lady Gaga.5. Madonna’s Super Bowl show was awful.6. Madonna’s body parts (mostly her grotesque arms).”
While the original post has received a few bad comments, the organizer claims they already have thirty dedicated fans for their cause and that they don’t have money for more
This isn’t the first attempt Gaga fans have made to bring Madonna down. On the same blog fans are being encouraged to call local stations in order to “make Madonna’s single flop.” They claim a few stations have a agreed not to play the record.
