Style Icon: Grace Motherf***ing Jones
Grace Jones: This woman was WAY ahead of her time.
If you’re not familiar with this particular icon, she’s a singer, actress, and model who became famous for her severe, androgynous looks and over-the-top style in the late 70s and early 80s. She released dance albums while acting in a string of movies (she was a Bond girl!), and was at various points a muse to Andy Warhol, Chris Cunningham, and everyone in between. Not to mention the source of inspiration for half of Lady Gaga’s costumes and schticks. Look at how incredible and forward-thinking everything she wore was.
