Rooney Mara, Jennifer Lawrence, And More Cover The 2012 ‘Vanity Fair Young Hollywood’ Issue

Well, technically it’s not here yet, but we do have a sneak preview! If you want to know who’s hot and happening, look no further to the iconic Vanity Fair annual ‘Young Hollywood’ issue for answers. This year’s issue pays tribute to ‘Old Hollywood,’ where these fabulous (and diverse) gals glam up for the magazine in satin pastel gowns and feminine updos.

Vanity Fair hardly goes wrong with their choices of who’s ‘Young Hollywood,’ so seeing the talented bunch comprising of a few Academy Award nominees (and even possible potential ones) is quite refreshing. So, who made the cut? Edgy Rooney Mara who played the badass in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Academy Award Nominees Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Olsen (yes, sister of the Olsen twins) and Mia Wasikowska were just a few who impressed the Vanity Fair committee.

The coveted tri-fold cover shoot also includes Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Brit Marling, Paula Patton, and yes, even Phil Collins’ grown up little girl, Lily Collins.

Shot by the renowned photographer, Mario Testino, he was able to capture these girls in a different light from what we’re used to seeing on-screen. Channeling the Jazz Age era, we’re instantly reminded of how these girls represent the modern versions of ‘Old Hollywood’ glamour.

While we can’t wait to get our hands on the magazine to see more photos, the online version will just do. You can snag your very own issue on newstands in February.
