Katy Perry Cancels On People’s Choice Awards!
It was just days ago when news broke that Russell Brand was no longer invited to the People’s Choice Awards in order to avoid an awkward run-in with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Katy Perry.
However, Russell’s absence and multiple nominations aren’t enough to make the 27-year-old pop-sensation step into the spotlight. Katy, who is up for several People’s Choice awards tweeted, just two days before the big day, that she would not be present at the January 11th show.
“Unfortunately I will not be able to attend.” she said.
Although she did not give a solid reason for bowing out, Katy did express her thanks for the support and votes.
“I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS.”
