Flashback Friday: 8 Onscreen Bands That Should Make A Comeback
Since news that the living members of the MTV parody boy band 2gether were reuniting surfaced earlier this week, it made us think about the onscreen bands of the past. Sure, reality TV competition shows like American Idol, The Voice and X-Factor are currently looking for the best of the best among the everyday folk of America, but what about the good old fashioned casted bands on TV from back in the day?
In honor of the potential of 2gether making a comeback, here are 8 onscreen bands we wish would follow suit:
The Frozen Embryos (aka Between Names)
Jem and the Holograms
Ok, so they’re a cartoon from the 80s. But you can’t deny that Jem and the group had some pretty solid music!
A band fronted by the ever-dreamy Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gossellaar) on Saved By The Bell? Yes please!
Comparable to Zack Attack in more ways than one, the California Dreams band’s sound was a little more beachy. And they had one unforgettable theme song!
Add band guy to James Franco‘s resume! Sure, they weren’t very good, but the band on Freaks and Geeks had one thing going for them: the hunky James was a part of the band as well as Seth Rogen and Jason Segel.
S Club 7
There ain’t no party like an S Club party, that’s for sure!
Jesse and the Rippers
This band had been everywhere in the world it seems: from Walt Disney World in Florida to Tokyo, Japan. The internationally-known Full House band also had one other claim to fame: its frontman Jesse Katsopolis (played by John Stamos) had a pretty impressive head of hair!
The Cheetah Girls
Does anyone else think that it was super-cool that this Disney-created girl group was actually a real group before? Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams were in the group 3LW before becoming Cheetahs!
Which one onscreen band do you wish would make a comeback?
