Style Profile: Alice Dellal
The world is full of socialites, who probably spend most of their time lunching dah-ling and shopping sweet-haht (clearly I have a firm grasp on the reality of the elite), and while they are usually impeccably dressed and perfectly coiffed, they are rarely COOL. That is, except for Alice Dellal. The daughter of a Brazilian model and an heir to some awesome fortune, the 24 year old model and British it-girl never looks quite like she’s heading to high tea. With her half-shaved head, her propensity for wearing lingerie as outerwear, and her arsenal of studded leather jackets, fishnet tights, and combat boots, she looks more runaway than runway, and her unique style has landed her modeling gigs for Agent Provocateur and Mango, as well as made her Mario Testino’s muse. Oh yeah, and she’s a drummer in an all-girl punky-gospel band called Thrush Metal (KIND OF COOL). The punk rock princess was recently tapped by Karl Lagerfeld himself to be the face of the new Chanel ‘Boy’ bag collection and also appears in the new Marc Jacobs campaign. Pretty cool, indeed.
