From ‘Jersey Shore’ to Ivy League: What Was Vinny Doing at Columbia University?

Jersey Shore‘s latest season just ended a couple of weeks ago and isn’t starting up again until January 5th, so what’s a Shore star to do in the meantime? Teach a sociology class at an Ivy League school perhaps? That’s what Shore cast member Vinny Guadagnino did… er, sorta! So what exactly was Vinny doing on the campus of Columbia University this week?

TMZ reports that Vinny was invited to speak as a guest in a Columbia sociology class on “deviance” – a subject on which Vinny is a recognized expert. He spent a lot of the time talking about what it was like being bullied growing up. The lecture went well – that is, until Vinny opened up the floor for questions.

One observer in the class bluntly asked, “What gives you, as a cast member of Jersey Shore, the right to interrupt this class and then lecture us on setting a good example?”

YOWZAS! That was a bit harsh. Not surprising, Vinny was stumped.

Would you want Vinny to speak at your school? What would you ask him if you could ask him one question?
