Gym Class Heroes Cancel Remaining Dates of their Fall 2011 US Tour

Say it ain’t so! After releasing their lyric video for “Ass Back Home” earlier today, it looks like the Gym Class Heroes are going to have to get THEIR asses back home due to illness…and canceling the rest of the dates on their current tour.

The official statement from the GCH website reads:

Due to Travie’s illness, we regrettably have to cancel our remaining tour dates with The Dirty Heads. Our day-to-day schedule on tour has been grueling, and he really hasn’t had a chance to properly recover. He should be out of the hospital any day now, and we hope by staying in one place and resting, he’ll be back in action soon. To all of our fans who bought tickets, we’re so sorry. We had such a great time recording this album that we couldn’t wait to get out on the road to share the new songs live and in-person with our fans. That’s why this was such a hard decision to make. We promise as soon as Trav is back on his feet, we’ll get back out soon to see you.

From the Twitter of co-headliners The Dirty Heads:

Due to illness, Gym Class Heroes are cancelling the remaining performances on our co-headline tour. We will continue on the road to finish out the tour as planned as the sole headliners. Wallpaper will continue on as direct support.

Oh damn. Let’s wish Travie a speedy recovery and hope he’s up and about for the release of The Papercut Chronicles II on the 15th!
