Lindsay Lohan: Next Stop, Prison?

RUH ROH! Lindsay Lohan may not be getting off scot-free in the legal department like she’d hoped to, and could be headed to prison. The troubled sometime-actress attended her court appointed hearing today, and the odds were not in her favor. Lindsay, who wore her most innocent-looking outfit, wasn’t fooling anyone – especially not the judge! Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lindsay’s probation and Lindsay was led from the proceedings in handcuffs.

According to the conditions of her probation, Lindsay was to be placed on house arrest (remember that?) and was ordered to perform 480 hours of community service, which included working at a L.A. Women’s Center and the L.A. County morgue. She was also told to see a therapist for psychological counseling.

Did she complete all of that? Needless to say, no she didn’t. Lindsay apparently failed to show up on nine different occasions to the Women’s Center (she reportedly said she didn’t find it “fulfilling”) and was therefore thrown out.

According to Judge Sautner, Lindsay was completely responsible for getting thrown out of the Downtown Women’s Center, where she was supposed to complete her probation, reports TMZ. The judge also said she doubted that Lindsay attended counseling once a week, as per court orders. When Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley argued that Lindsay had to go abroad for work (where she was seen partying) which is why she missed a number of her community service appointments, the judge dismissed Shawn’s argument with “She’s supposed to be an actress, from what I hear.” OH SNAP!

Clearly the judge was not pleased, recalling all of Lindsay’s past misconduct with court orders and reminded Shawn that “probation is a gift.” Judge Sautner also didn’t hide her contempt with the Probation Department, who gave Lindsay a “glowing report” according to TMZ. She said that the Probation Department had no authority to send Lindsay to the Red Cross to do community service and that Lindsay would not get any credit for serving time there.

“No one has the power to change my sentence. Not the volunteer center and not probation. She is not getting credit for any time at the American Red Cross,” Judge Sautner said.

Yikes! Don’t mess with Judge Sautner, Miss Lohan – or anyone else, for that matter!

Before being led away in handcuffs, the judge ordered Lindsay to complete 16 hours at the morgue before her next court date on November 2nd. And although Lindsay could get sentence up to a year and a half in jail, a frustrated Judge Sautner said that new laws and overcrowding would make a lengthy sentence unlikely.

Oh Lindsay, when will you learn?

What do you think should happen to Lindsay – should she go to jail? If she doesn’t go due to overcrowding, what do you think should happen to Lindsay in order for her to learn her lesson? Or do you think she’s innocent?
