Street Style at Burning Man 2011
This past week, I attended the infamous festival of all festivals – BURNING MAN! For those that aren’t familiar, Burning Man is a week-long event held in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada which experiments in community, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance. With 50,000 in attendance, we litterally built an entire functioning city in one weeks time! It’s an incredible experience. It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden structure of a “man” on Saturday evening – a truly epic and indescribable moment! I would definitely reccomend attending this event at least once in your life (I can now cross it off my bucket list)! I fell in love with all the art, yoga, bike riding, the gorgeous temple, giant structures, art cars, continuous live music, DJ’s, all-night parties and camping! Although I’m exhausted beyond belief and am still removing dust from my clothing, I’m sure I’ll be visiting Black Rock City again next summer!
