Robert Pattinson Was Difficult to Work With, Reveals ‘Cosmopolis’ Director

With Twiight being one of the most popular movies right now, you would think that casting Robert Pattinson in your movie would make a great addition, especially with all the hype for the upcoming Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 coming out in November. But Canadian director David Cronenberg has something to say about that! No, the problem wasn’t that hunky British actor RPattz was being a diva: the problem was that he is so darn famous!

The director revealed that his celebrity made RPattz a liability on the set, reports the CBC.

“Actually the fame was a detriment,” David said. “I mean, it’s good for financing – but it’s not necessarily good when you’re on the street and there are a lot of Twi-hards around. But I think people will be really surprised, I mean, I think he’s a terrific actor and that’s why I went after him.”

Whew! Luckily David was talking about the downside of fame and not his attitude. Good to know that RPattz isn’t a diva!
