Snow Patrol at Shepherd’s Bush (Fallen) Empire(s) – September 5th 2011
As one of the lucky few attending Snow Patrol’s “Family, friends and fans” album preview show, I feel obliged to share some of the moments I witnessed. It was a wonderful show and Fallen Empires looks set to be their best album yet it the new songs are anything to go by (look up “New York” and “This Isn’t Everything You Are” on Youtube immediately). The “surprise support act” also didn’t disappoint seeing as it was SP themselves playing an acoustic set which included rarely played old songs, a country version of “Spitting Games” and a cover of Katy Perry. Yup, you read the last part right – they got their groove on to “Last Friday Night”. Anyway, here’s the photographic evidence to say “I was there!” and to make you feel like you were too.
