Okay going to bed but

thevinckanator:

this is going to sound… idk stupid?

Do you ever get that feeling that people who are watching a show or reading something or playing a game, just don’t seem to be appreciating said thing?  Like they don’t understand the sheer magnitude of awesomeness that they are experiencing?

Like idk I always use FMA as an example since it’s my top favorite thing on the planet, so I’ll stick with that.  To me it will always blow my mind that someone can sit through every episode of Brotherhood and either not like it or just think it’s okay.  I always see the world in different levels of truth: Individual perceived truth, universally perceived truth, and absolute truth.  Obviously we cannot expect to know absolute truth, but I try to label things as absolute truth (arrogant I know) and to me Brotherhood is an experience that makes you feel like a different person when you’re done with it and that the absolute truth is that it’s a damn good show.  But somehow people can still watch it and either pick it apart or find it boring, etc.  And I will never understand that.  How something of that level of quality cannot touch or leave a serious impression on someone.  How someone can not be moved by something so human and inspiring.  No matter how much I try to look at it from an unbiased perspective I still don’t understand.

Like I said FMA is just an example but it can work with anything you find incredible.  I tend to only feel this way in relation to FMA or my favorite band.

(btw when I say I don’t understand it’s not that I’m dumb and can’t actually see how someone would have a different opinion, but that on an emotional level these stories wouldn’t affect them and I wouldn’t get that because to me the absolute truth is that it’s brilliant.  It’s almost like someone telling me 2+2 =/= 4)

yes this post yes i understand 100%

there’s a reason i have a tag “fma has influenced my life like you don’t even know” okay I FEEL YOU MAN
