McKinley High Gets New Mean Girl on ‘Glee’… Hint: She’s An American Dream!

Move over Santana! Glee‘s McKinley High is getting a new mean girl – and you just might recognize this American Dream! American Dreams alum Vanessa Lengies has joined the cast of Glee, playing a new student named Sugar in season 3.

It’s only been a week since the show started filming the third season and already the cast has something to say about Vanessa! Jane Lynch (who plays Sue Sylvester) told Access Hollywood last night at the Glee Sing-Along in Santa Monica: “Vanessa is amazing. She’s so funny.”

Jane admitted that she hasn’t actually met Vanessa, but she caught a few scenes that Vanessa filmed from the sidelines.

“I peeked in and watched her,” Jane said. “She’s amazing.”

Glee cast member Chris Colfer (who plays Kurt Hummel) also had praise for the actress: “Vanessa was [in] today and she was hysterical,” he said. “She’s really, really good.”

Vanessa joins fellow Glee newcomer (and Mercedes’ new love interest!) LaMarcus Tinker on Glee’s season 3.

Glee premieres Wednesday, September 21st on FOX.
