Lollapalooza 2011: Kerli Rocks the Vote and Talks About Her ‘Moonchildren’

Kerli, who brought her Bubblegoth to the Lollapalooza music festival this weekend, took the time out of all of the chaos and sat down with Buzznet, chatting about the importance of rocking the vote. Native Estonian Kerli who has never actually voted in her democratic country yet (she wasn’t of legal age), gives us a little history lesson, pointing out that twenty years ago her native Estonia didn’t allow voting before becoming a democratic republic. She urges those who can to “enjoy your freedom.”

Aside from encouraging fans to vote, Kerli also talked about the origin of the name “Moonchildren” for her fans and how they inspire decisions ranging from her hair color and her creatively themed outfits to her music and lyrics.
