Dionne Bromfield Is Not Happy About Amy Winehouse VMAs Tribute

Dionne Bromfield has taken to Twitter to address her feelings about MTV’s plans to ‘honour’ her late godmother, Amy Winehouse. Despite her initial excitement about going off to LA to watch Adele and Jessie J, her feelings soon turned to upset when she realised Britney would not be the only being paid tribute to.

The only officially revealed act is Tony Bennett (Winehouse’s last collaborator) but rumours have been rife that current chart acts and VMA nominees may be joining the 85-year old. The possibility of pop stars joining the bill lead Dionne to take to Twitter to share her preferred line-up – Lauren Hill, Jennifer Hudson and The Dap Kings.

Dionne then went on to retweet comments from fans who agreed with her (some who went on to voice stronger opinions about MTV’s producers and the music industry).

Despite Dionne’s fears for tonight’s performance, she is happy about one rumoured act – Adele, who has always cited fellow Brit-school student Amy Winehouse as massive inspiration (unlike the others named).

So do you agree with Dionne’s comments?

Why didn’t MTV consider asking Dionne to perform?
