My Chemical Romance To Record New Album After The Honda Civic Tour

Looks like the Killjoys may be put to rest sooner than we thought. Alternative Press is reporting that at the Chicago date of the Honda Civic Tour, Gerard Way announced on stage that the band will be headed back into the studio after the tour is over to record a new album.

This news is shocking as the rumor was they were planning to film a third video in the Killjoys universe for the song Bulletproof Heart. But rumor is that at a recent signing for his (awesome) book Supergods, Grant Morrison, who plays BL/ind’s exterminator extraordinaire Korse, said that they ended up not filming the video because “Something came up.” He promised we’ll hear the story and understand, but for now he can’t say anything.

This may be related to the fact that Danger Days severely underperformed as an album. While loyal Killjoys have rallied, the album has failed to reach even Gold status in the US and the singles have not performed in the charts outside of being well-received in the UK. This is kind of shocking considering the positive critical response to the album and the band (and label Warner Music) aggressively marketing it.
