Elle Fanning Goes Steampunk-Circus-Goth-Raver in ‘Twixt’

Elle Fanning is keeping it in the Coppola family, first with Sofia’s “Somewhere” and now with Francis Ford Coppola’s “Twixt”.

Entertainment Weekly has given us our first look at Elle’s goth/steam punk/raver costume for the movie. Ever the fashion maven, Elle can pull off any look buuuut I’m not so sure how I feel about this one. She just looked like such a fresh faced fair maiden in “Super 8”. I want her to look this light and natural all the time:

The story of “Twixt” supposedly came to Coppola in a dream and IMDB’s summary is as follows:

A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.

Interesting. I would never have guessed that Francis Ford Coppola’s vision of a young ghost would look like a girl escaped from The Electric Daisy Carnival.

Do you like Elle’s on set look? Does this movie peak your interest?
