Behind the Scenes of Hanna Beth & Keltie Colleen’s Photo Shoot with Noah Abrams

Noah Abrams has the job most people would kill for. As one the premiere photographers of the contemporary music scene, he gets to travel around the world and hang out backstage with bands like King of Leon, Band of Horses, The Black Keys, Broken Bells, Ben Harper, Radiohead, Cold War Kids and Phoenix. He stands backstage, onstage, or hundreds of feet above stage capturing the most memorable moments of the biggest concerts and festivals. He works under photography legend Annie Leibovitz and his iimages have appeared in Rolling Stone, Spin, GQ and Vanity Fair.

Noah flew into LA between shoots in NYC and Miami with only hours to spare and did me a massive favor when he agreed to shoot Hanna Beth and I at the Buzznet office! And a massive thanks to Hanna Beth, who was sweet enough to come play with me. I’ve been dying to interview Noah about his work because I see so many of you out there on Buzznet that are budding photogs. Check out the behind the scenes video of the shoot with Noah and Hanna Beth:

During our shoot Noah was adamant about one important key to his success:

“If you want to do anything else, then do that. If photography is the one thing that you are the most passionate about, then stay with it. The world will give you hundreds of reasons and roadblocks to becoming a photographer but if it is what you truly love, then that is what will count.”

Such great advice and I suspect it is what has earned Noah the recognition and trust from the artists he photographs. He isn’t around to catch a free show, or collect famous friends. He is there to capture the very best images he can because that is the thing that matter the most to him. Inspiring.
