From Chuck Bass to Shakespearean icon: Shakespeare’s most iconic love story is getting the reboot – and Ed Westwick has signed on to take part!
The Gossip Girl actor will be shedding his modern day garb in exchange for Shakespearean wear as he gets ready to play Tybalt in Carlo Carlie’s upcoming adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
True Grit‘s Hailee Steinfeld has already signed on as the fair maiden Juliet and Holly Hunter will be playing the Nurse. No word on who will be playing Romeo just yet.
Unfortunately, Leonardo DiCaprio may be a tad too old to play Romeo… again. That, and the fact that he seems a little too busy frolicking around Europe (Cannes, anyone?) with Ed’s Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively!
