Personal Philly Shopping Guide

Reblogged from Audrey Kitching

Everyone is always asking me where the best places to shop are! This is a guide to shopping in my home town Philadelphia. These are my top picks on what the city has to offer as far as my style goes.

1. Retrospect 508 South St. Philadelphia, PA 19147

Retrospect has always been my number one go to Vintage store in Philly. They carry everything from music, books and home goods to amazing hand picked clothing. I got my current purse and 70’s style jacket here just last week. They have almost every decade of clothing you could dream of. They have one of the best shoe and dress collections in the city!

2. Astro Vintage 720 South 5th Street Philadelphia, PA 19147

Astro Vintage Boutique is a retail store featuring fabulous pieces from the 50’s through the 80’s including men’s and women’s fashions, housewares, and accessories. I got a killer 60’s style striped turban and hand made doll tissue box last time I was in here. Astro has some real collectible items! If your looking for the perfect statement peice or dress for something special, this is your place.

3. Wilbur Vintage 716 S 4th St Philadelphia, PA 19147

Wilbur Vintage is more of a collectors selection. Its a tiny store but packed floor to ceiling with the best of the best. You will ALWAYS find something here. Im a big fan of their accessory collection. I have belts, earrings and hats from here that are the perfect fashion statement for almost any outfit. If your in town check this out even if its just for window shopping!

4. Punk Rock Flea Market Starlight Ballroom 460 N 9th St Philadelphia, PA 19176

The Punk Rock Flea Market is just about as fabulous as it sounds! Its only a few times a year but well worth the wait. Over 200 vendors packed in a warhouse selling their own collections of clothing, recors, trinkets and accessories! I could blow a few hundred dollars here and have a brand new wardrobe. Last time I score 90’s creepers, cat sweater, 60’s floral silk dress and a blue fur coat!

5. Village Thrift 7533 Crescent Blvd Pennsauken, NJ 08109

Last but not least Village Thrift, this one is kinda cheating since its right over the bridge and technically in New jersey. Its a massive warehouse packed with everything you can ever dream of. This is my favorite place for DIY items and nick nacks. They have a pretty amazing selection of tea cups and kitty figurines, not to mention the never ending row of purses, hats and scarfs! This is a must see! Everything in the store is pretty cheap in comparison to vintage. Amazing dress selection as well, the isles seem like they go on forever! When going here set aside a few hours for some serious treaure hunting.
