Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard Join ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Cast

Joseph Gordon-Levitt fans have something to look forward to soon! Warner Bros just announced that JGL and his Inception costar Marion Cotillard have joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Night Rises.

Marion will be playing Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.

JGL will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman).

“When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again,” Christopher Nolan said in an official release.

Also cast in The Dark Knight Rises: Christian Bale (of course!), Tom Hardy as Bane, and Anne Hathaway, who will play Selina Kyle.

The Dark Knight Rises is set for release on July 20, 2012.

Do you think Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard make a good addition to the cast?
